These clinical research studies are evaluating the safety and effectiveness of an investigational study drug for reducing excessive daytime sleepiness.
Eligible participants may experience any of the following symptoms:
- Excessive daytime sleepiness
- Disrupted nighttime sleep
- Dream-like hallucinations that occur when falling asleep or immediately after waking
- Inability to move or speak during the transition between sleep and wakefulness (known as sleep paralysis)
Each study is targeting a specific type of narcolepsy, either narcolepsy type 1, which is with cataplexy, or narcolepsy type 2, which is without cataplexy. Cataplexy is the sudden loss of muscle tone that may cause several physical changes, from slurred speech to complete weakness of most of your muscles.
